L’Angolo Dolce del Pane

The shop is located in the historic centre of Valtournenche along the town’s main street, close to the church. The interior is delightfully furnished with wooden items in pastel shades, enriched by numerous hearts, a symbol which characterises the shop.

In addition to numerous types of bread and breadsticks, the interior of the shop has two zones: one for handmade sweet products and another which is home to the different types of focaccia and pizza.

The owners focus on the authenticity of their products which are all rigorously handmade. The shop is open from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm with a break from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm. During low season it stays closed on Mondays and Sunday afternoons.

SAVOURY SPECIALS: Brown bread with walnuts, brown bread with figs, breadsticks with walnuts, butter, sesame, olives, onions, and lately the chocolate breadsticks have been very popular, to finish with the different flavours of pizzas and the two types of focaccia, regular and “Livorno” style which is like the Genoese focaccia.

SWEET SPECIALTIES: Strudel, baci di Valtournenche (cookies), meringues with hazelnuts, cakes for special occasions are made to order, meringues with various flavours, Veneziane (soft sweet buns), Colombe (dove-shaped cakes) and bugie (carnival fritters) depending on the time of year.
