Breuil-Cervinia will host, for the third year running, a FIS World Cup stage of the amazing Snowboard Cross competition on the 20th and 21st December; the top male and female world cup athletes of this discipline will challenge each other.
With Qualifying on Friday and Finals on Saturday, the week preceding Christmas will be rich in emotions.
For those not familiar with the discipline, it is a race where a group of riders start in line and face a descent including parabolic curves, jumps, stairs and flat sections with the risk of collision between riders.
he chosen slope is the run n° 26, in the Plan Maison area served by the Pancheron chairlift. Technicians, shapers and volunteers will do their best to make it unique and to show the world circuit the best of Cervinia, as it did last year.

Victory, both in the women's and in the men's categories, in the first edition went to the Italian athletes, in fact Michela Moioli and Omar Visintin excelled.
Here are their comments:
Moioli "Cervinia was my most beautiful victory in the world cup so far. I felt at home, in my family, in a paradise. I was excited and charged to compete in front of my family and many people who came to cheer for us Italians. I wanted to win no matter what. I hope to be able to race again in Cervinia and it would be even better if it could become a fixed stage of the world cup circuit. Surely there would be more and more people approaching this resort and this sport. "
Visintin "Having a world cup stage in Italy was a beautiful thing! And it's even better if it’s in Cervinia, a beautiful place that has always pampered us and that continues to treat us very well!"
On 2018th edition Moioli get the bronze medal, Visintin the silver one and Emanuel Perathoner won...
