ION CUP 2023

3rd STAGE CERVINIA (AO) - ION CUP SUNDAY, AUGUST 27, 2023.
for all those born before 2012 inclusive (2011, 2010, 2009...) and for all types of bikes (E-bike, DH, Enduro...).
RACE SECRETARIAT OPENING TO MAKE REGISTRATIONS:
SATURDAY, August 26, 2023 at "Lino' s PUB" (Breuil-Cervinia) from 6-7 pm;
SUNDAY, August 27, 2023 at Race Office (adjacent cable car departure) from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES: Friday, August 25 at 10 p.m.
Each participant in the race must compulsorily wear protective gear as per the rules and bib with the race number that will entitle them to free lifts to perform the race.
At the end of the race, riders will be able to participate in the free raffle using the bib with the race number as a ticket.
RACE PACKAGE: free gadgets at each stage for all participants.

COMPETITION PROGRAM:
Start: 9:00 am. The starting interval between each participant should be max 30 seconds, they will start by race table order (we advise the Teams to arrange for the collection of numbers and thus their starting order) - any time interval between one Team and another may be max 1 minute.

At about 2 p.m. PG3 (final) will open, where the order of descent will be determined by the ranking obtained in PG1 and PG2. It will start from the least fast (last in provisional ranking), with 30-second intervals, until the top 15 will start within 1 minute of each other.

ASCENT: CABLE CAR/TELECABINE
1st and 2nd Gravity Trials: PG1 and PG2 "Cime Bianche Laghi" mt 2900 length 3.0 km approx.
3rd Gravity Trial: PG3 "Plan Maison trail 1 A" mt 2050 length 1.5 km approx.
N.B. All PGs will be open to the public on pre-race days, while Sunday will be reserved for race participants only.
RACE CLOSURE: 4 p.m.
AWARDS: at Lino's Pub at approximately 5 p.m.
LOTTERY: about 5:30 p.m.: winners will be drawn at random regardless of the order of arrival. The race table number will be used for the draw number.
SERVICES: daily promo: reserved for all those who have registered for the JUNIOR and ION CUP by paying online by August 23, will receive a 50% discount on the daily Cime Bianche Laghi. You will only need to present your own ID at the ticket office stating that you are an ION participant.
SHOWERS: open free of charge.

3RD STAGE CERVINIA (AO) - IONCUP JR SATURDAY, AUGUST 26, 2023

Race open to all from 6 - 14 years old.
CLOSED NUMBER REGISTRATIONS: max 150 participants.
RACE OFFICE OPENING TO MAKE REGISTRATIONS AND/OR PICK UP BIB:
FRIDAY, August 26, 2023 at Lino's pub from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m;
SATURDAY, August 27, 2023 at Race Office from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Each race participant must compulsorily wear the table with the race number. The same will entitle to free day pass for Saturday, August 27 until the end of the race.

The track on which the race will take place will be freely accessible to everyone until 11:30 a.m., after which it will be reserved for race participants only until the end of the race. We advise participants to be found by the start at least 20 minutes before your turn where you will find the staff that will direct you to the Start.
COMPETITION PROGRAM:
Race start: 12 noon on the downhill course that will start from Plan Maison (length of about 1.1 km)
Starts will be divided by TEAM; Teams will decide their own starting order of their riders with maximum 30-second gaps. Interval between one Team and another shall not be more than 2 minutes. The
entrants not belonging to any Team will start last at 1 minute, with starting order determined by the staff present.

Participants will be given the opportunity to repeat the track trial a second time. In the rankings it will be
only their best time count.
For younger kids (indicatively under 7 years old inclusive), the presence of an adult is appreciated
during the descent. The accompanying person can apply for a free pass (valid for 2 ascents) at the secretary's office
during bib pickup.
Race closure: 3 p.m. max.
AWARDS: at Lino's Pub 4:30 pm approx.
LOTTERY: 5 p.m. approx.: each stage will have its own prize lottery, reserved for participants of each
stage. Winners will be drawn at random regardless of the order of arrival.
