ticket office rules


WINTER SEASON

1.   The purchase of a ticket means that the client is aware of and accepts the “ticket-office rules”.

2.   The “ticket-office rules” are based upon the price-lists on display and is to be considered part of it.

3.   Tickets are valid during normal opening hours of the lifts and are subject to the “Travellers Conditions” established by each company, they can be purchased from the ticket-offices of the
following companies: CERVINO S.p.A. and CIME BIANCHE S.p.A and other official external sales points and have following validity:

3.1   Cervino Pool: valid for use on Cervino S.p.A. lifts.

3.2   Cervino - Valtournenche Pool: valid for use on Cervino S.p.A and Cime Bianche S.p.A. lifts. Multi-day consecutive ski-passes of between 3 and 30 days as published on the price-lists can be used in all stations in Aosta Valley according to the following::

·           3, 4 and 5 days; valid in Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche with the inclusion of one day in another resort in Valle d'Aosta ;

·           6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 days; valid in Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche with the inclusion of two days in other resorts in Valle d'Aosta;

·           11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21 and 30 days; valid in Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche with the inclusion of three days in other resorts in Valle d'Aosta .

3.3   Cervino - Zermatt International Pool: Valid for use on the lifts of Cervino S.p.A., Cime Bianche S.p.A., Zermatt Bergbahnen AG and Gornergrat-Monte Rosa-Bahnen.
International tickets purchased in Italy must be used for first passage on Italian lifts daily; clients intending to use first passage on a Swiss lift are requested to ask for conditions of use at the ticket
offices.

4.     International tickets, as refers to the Swiss side, sold on behalf of the Swiss company by Cervino S.p.A. and it’s sales points, are sold in the name of and under the conditions of the company Zermatt Bergbahen AG – Postfach 378 – Zermatt – MWST. N° 280498 - whom are directly responsible to clients in regard to the management of the lifts and slopes situated in Swiss territory.

5.      Seasonal, consecutive and non-consecutive (days at choice) ski-passes “Valle d’Aosta” are valid for use on all the lifts of the resorts indicated in the brochure "SKI-PASS VALLE D’AOSTA” and are subject to the “ticket-office rules” published by SISKI s.r.l. for the current season.

6.      All tickets are strictly personal and are non-transferrable. Abusive behaviour of any kind will lead to their immediate withdrawal, followed by the application of legal sanctions. Clients must carry with them the document that justifies a discounted ticket, including the Carte Résident, in course of validity, for residents in the Aosta Valley; this document along with the ticket must be presented to staff, upon request, at lift control points to verify the entitled transport category. All tickets will have, along with technical ticket-office data, the following printed on them:

·           Free tickets:  Name and Surname

·           Multi-day ski-passes of over 3 days:  Name and Surname

·           Multi-day non-consecutive (days at choice) and seasonal ski-passes:  Name, Surname and Photograph

·           Ski passes with insurance: Name and Surname

This data must be provided by the client at the time of purchase of the ticket, where necessary along with an identity document to obtain age related discounts.

7.      No refunds, neither full or partial, will be given on tickets, they cannot be replaced for any reason, such as impossibility of use by the client. The validity and duration of the ticket cannot be changed after purchase. The client must verify at the moment of purchase that the type and price of the ticket issued corresponds to their request as no claims can be made thereafter.

8.      Recuperation of the unused days of multi-day consecutive ski-passes is possible only in the following cases:

8.1   Total lift stoppage; consecutive day ski-passes that cannot be used will be valid within the next winter season. 

8.2   Ski accidents with proof by means of a medical certificate, which attests the impossibility to practice any ski activity. Recuperation will be given from the day that the ski-pass is deposited at the ticket-office, no later than 10.00 a.m., after which time recuperation will be given from the day after. Recuperation will be valid during the winter season following the issue date.

In all other cases; illness, personal reasons, temporary or partial lift stoppage, no recuperation will be given.

9.     It will not be possible, for any reason, the recuperation of unused days of a multi-day non-consecutive ski-pass or seasonal passes, with exception of ski-passes with insurance, in which case see point 18 of these regulations.

10.  For loss of ticket the following rules apply:

10.1   Multi-day ski-passes: there is the possibility to replace it only if the number of the original ski-pass purchased is traceable by receipt; the deposit of the ski-pass will not be reimbursed in any case and will need to be re-paid along with 10% of the lost ticket’s value required for administrative expenses. This amount will not be refundable even if the original ski-pass is found; the substitute ski-pass will be valid starting from the day after the request.

10.2   Multi- day non-consecutive (days at choice) ski-passes: a duplicate will be issued, upon presentation of a police statement of loss to the Cervino S.p.A. Administration Department. The deposit of the ski-pass will not be reimbursed in any case and will need to be re-paid along with 10% of the lost ticket’s value required for administrative expenses. This amount will not be refundable even if the original ski-pass is found; the substitute ski-pass will be valid starting from the day after the request.

10.3  Seasonal ski-passes: a duplicate will be issued, upon presentation of a police statement of loss to the Cervino S.p.A. Administration Department. The deposit of the ski-pass will not be reimbursed in any case and will need to be re-paid along with €50,00 for administration expenses. This sum will be forfeited, even if the original ski-pass is found. The substitute will be valid from the day after receipt of above.

11.  Trunk-line tickets are only valid on the date of issue.

12.  Multi-day non-consecutive (days at choice) ski-passes:

12.1    Valid on the lifts of Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche; do not provide a free ski-pass superbaby, children born after 31/10/2001.

12.2    Valid on the lifts of Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche Zermatt; do not provide a free ski-pass baby, children born after 31/10/1999.

Access to a lift will deduct a valid day from this ski-pass and thereinafter no recuperation will be given, even in the case of bad weather conditions.

13.  Afternoon ski-passes are available from 12.00 pm and are valid from this time. Morning ski-passes are valid from the opening of the lift systems until 1.00 pm.

14.  Tariffs for suberbaby, baby, junior and senior 1-30 consecutive day ski-passes and trunk-line tickets, excluding ski-passes Valle d’Aosta:

14.1   SUPERBABY and BABY:         

14.1.1   Ski-passes valid on the lifts Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche and trunk-line tickets: Children born after 31/10/2001 (SUPERBABY) will receive a free and strictly personal ticket that is non-transferrable and will not be replaced if lost. The ticket will be issued for the same duration or trunk-line of the ticket purchased at the same time by an accompanying adult.

14.1.2    International ski-passes valid on the lifts Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche Zermatt: Children born after 31/10/1999 (BABY) will receive a free and strictly personal ticket that is nontransferrable and will not be replaced if lost. The ticket will be issued for the same duration or trunk-line of the ticket purchased at the same time by an accompanying adult..

The promotion will be valid only on the published tariffs on the price-lists posted. The child must be present at moment of purchase and the accompanying adult must provide a document proving the child’s age. Complimentary vouchers and free tickets do not provide free superbaby or baby conditions.

14.2   JUNIOR: children born after 31/10/1995 will be granted the reduced tariff upon presentation of a document with proof of age and the person entitled to the reduction present upon purchase.

14.3   SENIOR: adults born before 01/11/1942 will be granted the reduced tariff upon presentation of a document with proof of age and the person entitled to the reduction present upon purchase.

15.  To purchase the seasonal passes with the reduction for families, it is required that the client presents a family status certificate no more than six months old. The seasonal snowboard pass may be used only with a snowboard and is valid exclusively on the following lifts of Cervino Spa: Cable cars Breuil – Plan Maison, cable car Plan Maison – Cime Bianche Laghi, chairlifts: Campetto, Cretaz, Plan Torrette, Plan Maison, Fornet, Bontadini, Bardoney and Cieloalto. In the case that those in possession of the seasonal snowboard pass would like to snowboard or ski in the area Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche it is possible to purchase a daily ski pass at € 17,00 by depositing the seasonal snowboard pass at the ticket office upon purchase of the daily ski pass, to be collected at the end of the day. In the case that those in possession of the seasonal snowboard pass would like to snowboard in the area of Zermatt, it is possible to purchase a daily International supplement valid on the lifts of Zermatt at € 28,00; in the case that those in possession of the seasonal snowboard pass would like to snowboard or ski in the area Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche Zermatt, it is possible to purchase a daily ski pass at € 34,50 by depositing the seasonal snowboard pass at the ticket office upon purchase of the daily ski pass, to be collected at the end of the day.

16.  Cards which entitle discounts (D-Card, University Card, …) are strictly personal and only the holder, in possession of an identity document, may purchase ski-passes. These cards are valid for the winter season 2007-2008 and summer season 2008 and will be issued only once for the period of validity, in the case of loss a duplicate may be issued upon payment of the deposit for the key card and € 2,00 for administration expenses; the deposit of the lost card will be forfeited and the lost card will be blocked, even if found will remain void and cannot be used.

17.  Statutory declaration certification of birth date cannot be accepted for discounts of which it will always be necessary to present an identity document (art.2 D.P.R. n. 445/2000).

18.  The daily, multi-day and seasonal ski-passes of the pools indicated in article n.3 can be purchased with insurance; when insurance cover has been taken out, the client may directly request from the insurer, within the limits of the cover, reimbursement of expenses for damage to person or equipment, reimbursement for urgent medical expenses and further provisions based on the duration and type of ski-pass purchased. In the case that the insurance company provides reimbursement of the unused portion of the ski-pass for lift stoppage or injury whilst skiing, point 8 of these regulations is not applicable. In the case that the purchase of the skipass is made via internet or via mobile telephone, the insurance is included in the same transaction.

Purchase of insurance means the client is aware of and accepts the insurance conditions, policy available to clients at the Information Office at the central ticket office of Cervino S.p.A. in Breuil- Cervinia, Piazzale Funivie.

19.  For ski-passes issued on a key card (electronic stand), a deposit of € 5,00 must be paid, which will be refunded when the key card is returned undamaged before the expiry date printed on the card.

20.  Disabled people with a certificate attesting a handicap over 50% will be granted a 50% reduction for Italian tickets and 30% reduction for International tickets.

21.  The company Cervino S.p.A. reserves the right to decide, at its unquestionable discretion, the opening and closing times and periods of the lifts and slopes without influence on the ticket price.

22.  The price of International ski-passes will be subject to variation depending on the exchange rate between the Euro and Swiss Francs..

23.  The company reserves the right to amend tariffs and conditions at any time during the season.

24.  Please Note – D.Lgs. 196/03: information on the Privacy Legislation is available from the ticket office.

25.  We remind clients using the lifts of Breuil-Cervinia that, as established in the Regional Laws of the Valle d’Aosta, n. 29 of the 01.09.1997, article 50 and 753 of the 11.07.1980 of the D.P.R.:

-      Those whom use the tickets of another person may be punished by sanctions provided in article 494 of the Penal Code (impersonation) and article 640 of the Penal Code (fraud); the person consenting to the misuse may also be punishable.. 

In these cases, along with the consequences of sanctions, the ticket will be withdrawn and made void. Where a ski-pass has been issued on a key card, the deposit will not be refunded.

-       The user of an irregularly issued ticket will need to regulate their ticket by paying the difference and a sum equal to 10% of the value of the ticket. In the case that the payment is not forthcoming, the ticket will be withdrawn and will not be reimbursable.

26. In regard to the use of the ski slopes by skiers, refer to the Regional Law nr.27 of the 15th November 2004.

ATTENTION TO THE TIMETABLE!!!!

Please pay maximum attention to the lift closure times and in particular, to the ascent from Zermatt to Breuil-Cervinia and from Breuil-Cervinia to Zermatt: The timetable is posted at the departure of every Italian and Swiss lift. In case of tardiness, other means of transport will have to taken to return or you will be obliged to stay in the local place. In this case, recuperation and expenses will not be refundable by the company.

N.B.: To visit Plateau Rosà and Swiss territory a passport or other document valid for foreign travel will be required. The rescue and first aid services in Swiss territory must be paid for.
