The future is already here; from this winter the futuristic cable car at the foot of Mt Cervino, super technological and panoramic views. Ski history in the making in Breuil...
The new cable car Plateau Rosà has been constructed with innovative technical characteristics but above all as a fast way of reaching the 3,500 m of the glacier, where the Ventina run starts it's 11 km descent towards Breuil-Cervinia. The new cable car has been designed with it's particular form to best take advantage of the views with it's grand glass windows (Mt Cervino is so close you can almost touch it). The two elegant cabins have been constructed by the prestigious company Carvatech, a leading name in the lift systems sector and in collaboration with some of the most important names in design; Giugiaro, Storz, Spirit Design and Kiska. The large windows that cover the whole vehicle give the appearance of a terrace suspended in mid-air: The sensation that the designers wanted to transmit was that of being transported inside the Alps range, hovering over Breuil before landing at Plateau Rosà on the ice of the glacier. Don't miss a thing during the ride, it lasts just a few minutes, from Cime Bianche Laghi to Plateau you will find pull out seats making the ride even more comfortable. Not to mention convenient; passengers can view information on forecasts, slopes, weather conditions in real time and promotions via the high definition displays in the cabins. Also, over the course of the ride a camera fitted to each of the cabins will displays the images of the valley under Cervino, what a spectacle! This cable car Plateau Rosà will open with the opening of the winter season 2011-2012, a new start with a new lift. Better comfort, better views; important elements in the future that in Breuil is already here. A story of great skiing that started in 1939 with the opening of the first cable car Plateau Rosà.
