NEWS VALTOURNENCHE CIME BIANCHE
For the season 2011-2012, the lift company Cime Bianche is pleased to present some important news:
In particular over this summer, the children's playground has been extended and offers an even more ample area dedicated to those that are trying skiing for the first time, or just to enjoy some fun on the snow with recreational activities. The area, known as FAR WEST BABY SKI PARK, is characteristed by the presence of cow boys and indians figures and a new carpet lift of 120 m in length (in addition to the two already existing carpet lifts and the baby skilift) with the possibility to try a couple of different descents. To gain confidence on the snow the special equipment includes tunnels, inflatables, arches to make your day fun for the whole family. New tubing runs too, guaranteeing adrenaline rushes for the adults and the little ones too.
The upcoming winter season will also see the extension of the picnic area dedicated to families; a reserved covered and heated picnic area at the arrival station of the cable car (Salette). Larger and more comfortable with tables and benches, enjoy your picnic lunch enjoying the views over Valtournenche.
For those that want to try the local cuisine, even more offers with the opening of new a new bar along the run returning to town and the renovation of two restaurants already present in the ski area.
Back to the ski slopes and the news in the SKI CROSS sector: Thanks to the success of last season the area dedicated to this sport has been increased and improved with jumps and parabolics, fun for the kids and the adults. For those that enjoy the more difficult descents, two black runs (15A and 1B) will satisfy the fanatics.
To best get around the ski area, new panels have been designed and installed and the signposting has been reviewed in general, permitting skiers to program their itineraries around the ski area of Cime Bianche Spa.
