Over 200 km of walking tracks in the area at the foot of Mt Cervino offers a variety of options; various lengths, times, difficulty, altitude difference etc.. There is also the possibility to try the nature walks with expert guides that will show you the local flora and fauna and explain the geography of the area.
Walks to enjoy the silence immersed in nature, smell the perfume of the flowers, take in the beautiful views, blue skies and white mountain peaks: this is what you will experience on the sensorial walks. Just like the "slow ski" in winter, take your time accompanied by your Mountain Guide or Nature Guide to discover the fauna and flora of the area. The sensorial walk in Valtournenche starts at Perrères to Promoron over 5 km long, equipped with picnic areas along the track, was an old train service road constructed in 1920 with old tunnels illuminated by solar panels. The track is almost flat and therefore perfect for family excursions, the views over the mountian peaks that surround Valtournenche. The track is perfect for mountain biking too.
A gym under the open skies: In the Valtournenche area you will find a running trail, training in the open, immersed in nature. There are two multi-use trails, one in the area of Maen (1,310 m asl, around the lake of the same name) and the other only a few minutes from the town of Valtournenche. Technical data: The Maen trail is divided into 13 legs with 6 levels of difficulty and therefore training step by step. The second (1,500 m asl) connects Cret du Pont (in Valtournenche) to Plan de la Glaea, the departure station of the cable car "Cime Bianche".
